My Online Courses
Online courses currently make up 25-40% of my income, and I love how hassle-free and hands-off it is.
Carlton Trail College
I currently have quite a few courses available – you can find out about them here. If you want to start your blog, or get more traffic and followers, or get email templates, you probably know what your next step is for your next business breakthrough, right? 😉
Taking courses and creating my own was one of the best decisions I made in my business. In fact, I tend to make more and more efforts to focus on courses in my business. Why
Aside from maintaining and updating my courses, I don’t need to spend extra time selling an extra copy of my course.
Likewise, once you’ve created your course, you can sell it to hundreds or thousands of students over and over again. It scales so well!
How To Get Published (online & Print Publications) Course — My Daily Business Coach
Creating an online course doesn’t cost much other than purchasing course hosting software like Teachable and, if you want, hardware to receive your course content.
Contrast this with affiliate marketing, where the owner of what you’re promoting gets most of the revenue from your leads.
Compare this to advertising or sponsorships: If you’ve been around for a while, you’ll know that the sales and profits you get from courses far exceed anything you could get from advertising and sponsored posts for the same amount of traffic.
People are willing to pay more for courses as long as your course brings value to them. It is not unheard of for courses to reach thousands of dollars. Yes, you read that right.
Taking Online Courses
I’ve lost count of how many times my courses have brought me so much joy because it changed someone’s business and life.
When you create and sell an online course, you take control and decide to be a change agent in someone’s life.
There is also another added benefit of creating courses – converting directly to others allows you to create loyal students and fans of your brand and business. What a win-win. 🙂
Instead, they look for organized, efficient and effective solutions that work. No one wants to read thousands of articles or videos and waste their time and effort going around in circles.

At the first stage of creating an online course, write down 1-3 course ideas. If you have already decided on the topic of the course, you can immediately go to #2.
Be open to different possibilities and stop doubting yourself. You don’t have to be a legend – often people will buy courses from people who are a few steps ahead because they seem more relatable and can understand their struggles.
For example, if you love investing in stocks, you probably don’t need Warren Buffett to teach you. Rather, someone who is a few steps ahead of you can teach you and will probably do it better than Warren Buffett.
Online Courses Killed My Spirit, And Still, I Write
If you’ve been building a mailing list, send them a quick email and ask them what their biggest obstacle/frustration/struggle is when trying to build a successful business/lose weight/eat healthy/etc.
You got it. You’ll be surprised at what happens. Asking your audience will give you lots of profitable ideas!
Chase your competitors. If your competitors are selling something, chances are it’s making them money. This is especially so if those competitors have been in business for some time/are popular.
Of course, later you will add your zest to things, position yourself differently, etc. However, the main problem you are solving will remain the same.
I’m Doing An Online Course
I highly recommend you do this quick test of your course idea – make sure someone else is selling the course.
By looking at what your competitors are selling, you’ll get a fantastic idea of what your target audience needs and will buy.
In fact, if you have a course idea and no one is selling a course about it, you better watch out!
It doesn’t have to be your EXACT idea, but it should solve the same general problem.

If you have a course idea and no one is selling a course about it, you better watch out! Click to Tweet 2. Define your course details
Once you’ve decided what your course will be about, it’s time to get down to the details!
I recommend that your first course be smaller. This is because it is much easier to create, manage and sell a smaller course. You can go from zero to startup in a very short period of time.
As a general rule, I keep it under 6 modules. In any case, it is important to remember that it is not about the amount of information, but about transforming the content of your course.
How Exactly Do Online Colleges Classes Work?
It takes a lot of resources and time to create a huge course. By then, you may have given up! When this is your first course, you want to adopt the mentality of an economic startup and go from zero to money as quickly as possible.
What is the price of your course? Decide how much your course will cost. Start with a price that is an accurate reflection of the value your course will deliver. You should feel good about your price.
Don’t get hung up on the little things. The price, duration and structure of your course can always be changed very easily in the future.

There are many reasons why I love Teachable, but I feel the need to point out the main ones:
If you’ve ever taken a Teachable course, you’ll know that Teachable’s user experience is truly second to none… And quality is something I’m really proud of.
What Online Tools Do I Use To Build An Online Course?
User interaction is something that humans have a hard time recreating, unlike functionality. Every step of the Teachable course is very smooth and professionally designed.
The biggest reason I switched to Teachable was because I wanted to create the best product for my students. I want my students to enjoy reading my course and be motivated to learn, which, in turn, would attract more people to us?
And indeed, I got tons of compliments from my students about how much they loved the new course platform, especially when I switched a few months ago.
Happy students make me happy and influence me well. Also, from a business POV, happy customers are the cornerstone of a successful business.
